My Square Watermelon

This web site is about inspiring individuals to increase their fun of planting and gardening by becoming creative and doing things a little differently.  A couple summers ago I planted tomatoes and watermelon and decided to make the fruits square, after reading about how Japanese farmers were growing square watermelons. Guess what?  After some experimentation, I had my square watermelon!  And the tomatoes?  They won’t perfect.  But I had lots of fun doing something out of the ordinary.  And I have the pictures to show!

I promise to show many of the photos I took so you can share in the fun I had from this off-the-wall experiment.  Most of all, I would like to encourage you to do the same.  Experimenting with plants in the home garden is always interesting.  It is my hope that you can write and share your planting experience and enjoyment with me and other readers.
